6. Will We See Dog?
Besides the G-Man, I am almost certain we will be seeing Dog, even if it’s only a cameo. In Half-Life 2, this gigantic robot is an absolute tank.
He goes head to head with Combine choppers, rips up walls and throws cars in every direction. Oh, he’s not an actual dog, by the way, he’s another one of Alyx’s inventions.
In Half-Life: Alyx, if we do see him, he’s likely to be much smaller, potentially more docile and in no shape to be fighting anyone.
Alyx explains in Half-Life 2 that he used to be smaller but she kept adding to him, causing him to get bigger and stronger. My guess for Dog in Half-Life: Alyx is that we’ll be doing some VR training with the little pupper.
It’d be the perfect way to introduce us to the Gravity Gloves in a low stress, no rush environment that we’re familiar with.
