3. Where Has The Crew Of The Infinity Gone?
According to the gameplay demo, the Infinity and her fleet were destroyed by the Banished in a conflict that the Chief doesn't seem to have been involved in.
While having the Infinity be destroyed at the beginning of the game is a neat idea, it opens a whole can of worms in relation to the crew of the ship.
It's hard to believe that 343 would have the guts to kill off many of the Infinity's crew in between games, especially since some of those characters are actually liked by the fan base. Well, mainly Lasky.
How they were beaten is also brought into question. As this is presumably the same Banished that got their asses kicked for the duration of Halo Wars 2, one has to wonder how exactly they beat the highly trained crew and spartans of the Infinity. Maybe it was an off day for them.
Regardless of what the answer is, seeing them make an appearance in Infinite is crucial. With the art style returning to a more classic look, it would be nice to see the crew of the Infinity rendered in something that doesn't make them look like Power Rangers cosplayers.
