4. Will The Created Be An Enemy?
With Cortana's whereabouts unknown, the question of the faction she led in Halo 5, the Created, is brought up.
Of course, in Halo 5 players never actually fought the Created as they used the Prometheans as their cannon fodder (unfortunately). Despite this, they did play a big part in the story, with multiple A.I.'s swearing their loyalty to Cortana in the games concluding mission.
Halo 5's legendary ending depicted Cortana activating a Halo ring, pointing towards the Created using it to allow them to ascend to the Mantle of Responsibility (a fancy Halo term for what species is responsible for all life in the universe).
With Infinite focusing around Chief fighting the Banished, where the Created have gone is brought into question. From the marketing materials that have been released so far, it seems that they are no longer the main threat in the universe.
It does seem that 343 will address their absence in the full game (not doing so would be insane), but the question is whether or not they will play a big part in the story. Halo 5's ending would lead us to believe so.
