Halo: The Master Chief Collection - 10 Incredible Moments You Need To Revisit

6. Through The Fire And The Flames

Game: Halo 3 Level: Halo Originally created as the grand finale to Master Chief's story, the final section of Halo 3 is a throwback to the original game, featuring Chief escaping a Halo ring in a dramatic Warthog ride. As this was set to be the final set piece of the series though, Bungie added a helping dose of fireworks to add to the drama. This Warthog escape doesn't feature a time limit (unlike the original escape in The Maw), however much of the path is made up of a series of metal panels which fall away and create deadly drops which the player will have to avoid, as well as a climatic final jump to safety. Marty O'Donnell's fantastic score (aptly titled Escaping Halo) and the fire streams that shoot from the pit below combine to create a massively atmospheric sequence of events and the drive to push forwards and finally escape the Halo threat is extraordinary - it's a truly special moment for the series which deserves to be relived over and over again.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
