Hidden Agenda: 7 Things You Need To Know About Supermassive Games' New IP
2. There's A Traitor In Your Midst
Obviously the game is called Hidden Agenda for a reason.
Although not discussed in a great amount of detail, the game looks as though it will give a secret task to a random player. This player will have to discretely influence the game to match whatever they've been ordered to do. At the end of the game, the players are given a chance to vote on who they think had the hidden agenda.
No specific agendas were mentioned, but some possible examples include making sure everyone dies, having the killer get away with everything, or having Marnie and Graves commit actions that will surely have them end up in prison. Obviously, this is all guess work, but having one player secretly sabotaging everyone else is sure to make Hidden Agenda into the friendship-destroying party game that everybody loves.
Barring multiplayer FPS games that allow you to betray your teammates (like The Division), having one player secretly be a traitor hasn't really been touched upon in the past.
So, along with having a tense story, expect some tension to arise between you and your friends as everyone throws around accusations around while playing. Which, honestly, will only make the game more entertaining.
