Much of Aloy's adventuring could be described as a 'climb 'em up', where she clambers across dizzying mountain ranges and across lightless chasms in a very Lara Croft/Nathan Drake manner.
Getting to the highest peaks and most isolated corners for those last couple of collectables is one of the most satisfying challenges to complete. The Frozen Wilds looks set to provide plenty more places for Aloy to explore, and the DLC marks the chance for her to find even more inaccessible places to find and loot.
Who knows what strange things lurk below the ice of the frozen wastes in the trailer? Robotic plesiosaurs? Shark-machines? Underwater research facilities untouched by the centuries?
As long as Aloy swims as athletically and controllably as she climbs, the DLC could take an unexpected turn downwards and take her to even scarier and more fascinating places.
