One of the most exciting parts of receiving any new iteration into a fighting series is the guarantee of new characters. Injustice 2 is no different.

Whilst the original Injustice did include most of the best DC characters, it was notably missing a few fan favourites. Injustice 2 corrects this by including more obscure DC heroes and villains that still have a big fan following of their own.

Heroes like Blue Beetle and Supergirl make their debut into the Injustice universe in a big way and seemingly have important roles to play in the story mode of the game. The cast of villains is even more developed this time, with fan favourites like Darkseid, Poison Ivy and Deadshot all confirmed as playable. Each character has completely unique movesets, specials, dialogue and combos, which makes them all feel wholly unique.

Injustice 2 also brings back almost every single character from the original Injustice and gives them new moves as well. Whether it be new animations, new combos or new specials, Injustice 2 should make each one feel fresh.
