Injustice 2 Review: 9 Ups & 2 Downs

5. Online Netcode Is Excellent

Most launch day reviews weren't able to say much about Injustice 2's multiplayer beyond "it seems to work", but a few days removed, it's clear to see that the netcode is absolutely rock solid.

Considering how many games across genres launch with broken online modes that are only fixed weeks or even months later, it's a relief to see that online play here appears largely free of lag and, consequently, frustration.

While the game's aforementioned lack of catering to competitive crowds means that the online arena probably won't be as busy as both Street Fighter V and Tekken 7, the excellent latency and general online performance means it should enjoy a healthy run for the foreseeable future all the same.
