Injustice 3: 10 Things We Want To See
1. A Branching Narrative With Real Choices
This is something that recent NetherRealm games have flirted with. Both MK11 and Injustice 2 allow players to select what character they want to play as in a specific story fight. For Injustice 3, NetherRealm should build off of this and allow players to experience story lines that branch off from the main plot if they select a certain character.
This could be massively beneficial to the narrative. Since the Injustice games focus on much loved characters, allowing the player to branch off and experience a specific set of missions, away from the main story, will mean they can spend more time with the character they love.
In addition to this, NetherRealm should expand on the multiple endings that they have included in their latest games. Both Injustice 2 and MK11 Aftermath contain multiple endings, but there is no real choice involved, the player just has to select one in the end.
To make this more impactful, the player should be given a series of choices throughout the game that have lasting consequences to the narrative. Instead of just choosing the ending, the player should be involved in shaping it.
