Now, we can't wrap this list up without including one of Disney Animation's other pop culture phenomenons of the last decade: Moana. Released at the end of 2016, Moana really hit a note with critics and audience alike, who took to the film's characters, its sense of adventure, its visual appeal, and, of course, its incredibly catchy soundtrack.

Including it in the next Kingdom Hearts game seems like another massive no-brainer, with the mere idea of seeing Sora and the gang teamed up with Moana on her journey undoubtedly a huge selling point.

Need another party member? You've got Maui once they've met up with him. Looking for boss battles that fit the events of the movie? Toss in Kakamora pirates and the giant crab Tamatoa.

The films provides for a diversity in settings, from the island of Motunui to the shadowy, neon-infused realm of Lalotai, and even Te Kā, the corrupted version of Te Fiti, is essentially the perfect Heartless. There's just so much going on in the film that could provide for a great world within Kingdom Hearts, and hopefully whenever it arrives, Moana - along with many of the other entries on this list - can join in the fun of the long-running series.
