7. Chloe's New Voice Actress Nails It
When it was announced that Ashly Burch, who provided the voice for Chloe in the original Life Is Strange, would not be reprising her role in Before the Storm as a result of the video game voice actor strike, it raised a bit of concern.
After all, Burch is a seasoned voice actress who won the Golden Joystick Award for performance of the year for her role as Chloe. Meanwhile, her replacement, Rhianna DeVries, is a relatively inexperienced newcomer.
However, DeVries absolutely rose to the occasion here and alleviated any doubt that she could get the job done. She captured Chloe's established mannerisms to a T, introduced a few new one's (since it's a younger version of the character), and her delivery, especially when it comes time for Chloe to express some rage, is on point.
Burch will be missed, but the character of Chloe is definitely in capable hands and it seems as though DeVries could have a very promising career as voice actress ahead of her.
