On some NFL teams the offense, the defense and the special teams don't talk to each other for a whole week. They might even have separate workouts, which makes it really hard for a roster to actually bond and form chemistry needed to succeed.
With that in mind, there should be some moments during the game when the defense blames the team's poor record on the offense and vice-versa. This could actually make for some interesting mini games.
The other part is the qb-controversies, integral to the NFL. You might be the starter this year, but last year the team was led by a different guy, and he was somebody's friend.
