Madden 20: 7 Rumours You Need To Know
6. There's No Switch Version Again
...unless they exclusively own a Nintendo Switch.
Madden 20 would be the third entry in EA's NFL series to pass without a Switch port. Although it was hardly surprising that Madden 18, released a scant five months after the Switch launched, didn't hit Nintendo's console, it is fairly noteworthy that EA haven't put that right since.
The Switch is tailor-made for Madden's pick-up-and-play style, especially if gamers favour the game's arcade options over simulation. Big plays, crunching tackles, superstar celebrations and more would be a lot of fun on the go or with a party of friends, and so it's a bit shocking to report that it doesn't look like Madden will be coming to the system any time soon.
Currently, multiple sites have Madden 20 down as PC, Xbox One and PS4 only. There's zero talk of the Switch, which should make anyone who owns one a bit sad. It's also confusing. Predictions from industry experts claim the console will be around until 2024 at the earliest, meaning it has at least another five years of life, presumably without football.
