4. Bigger Emphasis On Franchise Scenarios
That's not the only thing holding Franchise back - the current scenario engine, whilst fine for a season or two, is a little paper-thin. Madden 23 would become a more exciting product overnight if EA fine-tuned the way it approaches storylines, or added in a whole bunch of new ones.
Unless you were living under a rock, you'd have been gripped by the recent drama enveloping MetLife as Joe Judge tossed shade at everyone and anyone to save his own skin. Ultimately, this didn't work, but it did highlight the unique pressures of coaching in a dense, 'always on' market like New York.
That's the kind of thing 23's Franchise Mode needs.
Being head coach for the Giants or Jets should feel different to taking over in Jacksonville. Or, how about assuming control of a winning team like Tampa Bay compared to an emerging hopeful like the Bengals? Each territory should come with its own pros and cons, basically.
