3. Mario Circuit 3 (SNES)

Mario Circuit is one of the most loved tracks in the series as it was
the best course in the first ever title. Simple in design, the track itself featured hardly any obstacles other than pipes and oil slicks - this one sorted the men from the boys with a test of pure driving skill. It's true the course favoured light karts that could take sharp turns, but the track was also tight, meaning bigger racers such as Bowser and Donkey Kong could bully opponents by pushing them into the dirt. The twisting turn at the end was extremely sharp, meaning there was always a frantic pile up before the next lap. At the end of the track there is one zipper which can be used to take the lead or catch up at the last minute.
