It's been ten years since Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was unleashed on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

After a decade of silence, it was safe to assume the series had been discontinued. Yes, we got two random remasters of Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 (both of which were horrendously overpriced and ultimately removed when Activision's license renewal expired), but going forward, no longer could you assemble a team of your favorite Marvel heroes and use their awesome powers to beat up everyone in your way.

That was up until the surprise announcement of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. Born from the brain of Marvel and the technology of Nintendo, the game is set to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, on July 19, 2019.

Like the previous two games in the series, MUA3 will feature a diverse cast of playable heroes. This time around, they're heavily inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse etc. are going to love the roster, and though we're yet to get an official rundown trailer, we can pin almost everybody down by scouring what's available right now.

Overview: It's been far too long since the most recognizable member of the X-Men has been featured in a game. A console game, anyway. As the most unkillable X-Men, his return is a much-anticipated one.

Abilities: Thanks to Weapon X, Wolverine's skeleton is coated in adamantium, which is an indestructible metal. He also has an insane healing factor that prevents him from dying or really ageing. He was born with his trademark claws, but they didn't become the claws we know today until he got the adamantium coating.

In-Game: He can buff himself with Primal Rage, as well as assault his enemies with any combination of Adamantium Assault, Claw Strike and Berserker Barrage. Don't even worry about your health. His iconic healing factor will keep you alive and well. With all these useful skills, Wolverine might actually be the best at what he does.
