Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite Trailer & Hands-On: 7 Things We Learned

2. It's Already Being Compared To The Competition

With the inclusion of an immersive storyline, the comparisons to recently released Injustice 2 have already begun.

Will Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite be anywhere near as good? Will it have multiple endings? Currently, it's an uphill battle for MvCI, with critics lambasting what looks like a threadbare plot littered with lacklustre dialogue.

It's not just the story that's receiving heat, though, the gameplay and character models are also feeling the burn from the fighting game community, being compared unfavorably to competing games that are already available (the aforementioned Injustice 2, along with Tekken 7).

On top of that, the trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ did MvCI no favors. Even though the game is still in its early development stages, it received a much greater share of praise when revealed at E3.

Then there are the (negative) comparisons gamers are making to previous Capcom games. Will MvCI release be plagued with near-crippled online play like Street Fighter 5? Will the lengthy load times experienced in the demo be par for the course?

Nothing is for certain yet, but, for some fans at least, the demo has raised more concerns than it laid to rest.
