If you thought the dialogue was stiff, get a load of the character animations during those cutscenes.

Not sure if it's a product of the game being in Unreal Engine 4, but something about the way the heroes move feels rough (poor Thor is so rigid and top heavy he looks like he may topple over in a light breeze). You can still get a good idea of what's supposed to be happening in these scenes, but the execution appears unfinished.

The faces, in particular, are off-putting (looking at you, Chun-Li), with the exception of "cartoony" characters like Megaman and Zero. Mind you, it's not terrible in every scene. Some moments, like Captain Marvel talking with Gamora in the story trailer, look okay. The weird faces occur often enough, however, to be noticeable (and distracting).

On the positive side, the costume designs are spot-on. Ultron-Sigma is appropriately villainous with his spiky bangles and kneepads, and all the heroes are decked out in their signature outfits (barring a few minor tweaks here and there). Perhaps most impressive is Thanos, with Black Panther and Iron Man taking a close second.
