Marvel's Avengers: 8 Things Fans Demand
4. Surprises In What Looks Like A Predictable Story
During the War Table presentation, we received several in-depth story trailers showing off more of the plot surrounding the game and frankly, it so far has been underwhelming as just more of the usual Avengers world-saving.
There's nothing wrong with the usual when it comes to superheroes, but this game is trying to follow up on the fantastic Spider-Man. That game's plot had actual twists and turns that no one saw coming, and while it was just more of the same regarding Spider-Man, Insomniac made everything feel fresh.
So far we've seen the usual: Captain America "dies," the Avengers break up, they come back, they are still and at each other's throats, but then they come out on top to beat MODOK. This may end up being completely fine and engaging with a plot twist or two, but nonetheless the story of Marvel's Avengers needs to be new and engaging.
If the Avengers can get on the level of Spider-Man then fans who care about Marvel's well-crafted stories can experience something they haven't before, and not be bored early on knowing how this story will end.
