Black Panther has been all but confirmed to be one of the heroes that we'll be receiving in the next coming months.

Due to the incredibly upsetting news that Chadwick Boseman had passed away, the recent Avenger's War Table was changed out of respect for the late actor. It is likely that we were going get a more solid confirmation of T'Challa's introduction, but Square Enix made the correct, respectful choice and are saving the announcement for a later date.

Wakanda would be superb location for the game. The mixture of thick jungles and futuristic cities would make for a great blend of gameplay and aesthetic while still fitting in with the world we've already seen. Being a whole country, like Latvaria, players could get to see a whole range of different areas from the comics.

With the city usually being hidden from the rest of the global stage, Marvel's Avengers is taking a different approach. A small easter egg near the beginning of the game mentions Princess Shuri of Wakanda helping with the design of Captain America's shield, revealing that Wakanda is known to the world.

It'll be really interesting to see how Square Enix decide to incorporate Wakanda into their take on this world.
