Marvel's Avengers DLC: 10 ESSENTIAL Locations It Must Include
Players can't keep replaying the same underground lairs over and over.
With Marvel's Avengers finally realising after almost two years of waiting, players are already flying through the main campaign and travelling to a variety of locations that you can traverse and destroy as any of the main character roster.
A great feature of the game is that there is going to be a stream of additional heroes released over the cominc months and years, each bringing their own missions and locations to further the story.
The first confirmed DLC hero is going to be Kate Bishop, Hawkeye's protege. But after that, it seems like any Marvel character could be at play. With any hero being on the table it begs the question of what locations we may get to travel to for their missions. The Marvel mythos has countless iconic and key locations that would be perfect for a DLC setting.
With some minor complaints about the game being that many locations feel a little stale, it would be amazing if we could see a whole range of wild locations.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance really took us to every corner of the Marvel Universe, so why can't Marvel's Avengers?
10. The Negative Zone
So the first entry on this list is actually partly a bit of speculation. But we'll get to that in a bit. The Negative Zone is a antimatter universe first seen in the Fantastic Four comics, but has since been used as a consistent setting for the Marvel Universe. We saw a version of it in Fantastic Four (2015) and it was always recently used in the Civil War comic story-line as a prison for captured superheroes.
The negative zone would make for a great setting as it would mean Square Enix can get really inventive with how this setting would be to explore. It's nothing at all like anything on Earth and has historically been used to dispose of powerful villains. Maybe an old foe is trapped there and we might just run into them.
In the reveal trailer for Kate Bishop, we see Hawkeye entering A.I.M portal that could definitely be leading to the negative zone. Maybe we'll be seeing this area sooner than we thought! Even if this isn't the case, Square Enix could still use the antimatter universe for a different character.
