While tracking down companions to aid against the reaper threat in Mass Effect 2, Shepard and crew decide to enlist the help of Thane, the greatest assassin in the galaxy. In an attempt to locate the assassin, Shepard interrogates an Eclipse mercenary. However, the mercenary is uncooperative, and totally resistant to the questioning. Paragon Shepard can calm them down, and convince the mercenary to leave without alerting their friends. That's not very badass though, and it's not this version of events that's made it on the list. Renegade Shepard is prepared to take far less sh*t than the Paragon variant, while still knowing when something is a lost cause.
