Bioware seem to agree, going one further than just handing you a long cutscenes and instead interspersing the final battle against Saren with shots of your crew battling the Reaper invasion around the outside of the Citadel. It helped illustrate how effective your own war efforts were on the ground, whilst simultaneously setting up for what's - by my money - the sweetest, most sky-punching "HELL YES" moment of them all; Normandy taking down Sovereign's ship by blowing it to smithereens. It's everything you love about Mass Effect in one glorious scene. The score is epic, the moment itself is powered by characters you care about coming together to pull it off - and Bioware's portrayal of size and scale remain unsurpassed in showing the massive creature get completely torn apart.
