https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs1OmqvcUtQ Mordin is easily one of the best squadmates you'll snap up across all three games, and that's saying something, being he's got some mighty fine competition. Come the close of ME 3 - and providing Mordin made it through the Suicide Mission from 2 - he'll volunteer himself to go up the tower on Tuchanka to disperse the cure for the Krogan-killing Genophage virus. Already the scene has a lot of poetic justice embedded inside his motivations (he helped design the virus in the first place), but it's when he refuses to bend to your requests and stay on the ground, that you're really forced to accept this brilliant scientist is going to die for one of his own past mistakes. His final line to Shepard is both encapsulating of his entire character ethos whilst also giving you one last wry smile before disappearing - a testament to Bioware's writing team, who were at the top of their game for this one.
