Mass Effect 5: 10 Fan Demands We Need To See

5. Options For Non-Violent Solutions

For better or worse, Andromeda was the most action-heavy Mass Effect yet. Because most of the gameplay was based around open world design philosophies, it meant that the bulk of the title's objectives often amounted to little more than raiding enemy outposts and blasting away X amount of aliens.

But while that style of gameplay doesn't naturally lend itself to non-violent solutions, it was a shame that the main campaign also resorted to fire-fights during all of its major action beats.

The series has never featured the same amount of non-violent solutions to problems as, say, the Fallout franchise, but these games have always been as much about diplomacy and inter-species politics as they have been about shooting dudes in the face.

Mass Effect is still an RPG at heart, and so Bioware shouldn't be scared to, you know, actually let players role play and give them the freedom to solve situations however they want.
