Mass Effect 5: 10 Fan Demands We Need To See
3. A Focus On Choices And Decision Making
While the Mass Effect series was never purely about making narrative choices in the same way that a game like The Walking Dead was, it was still a centrepiece of Bioware's sci-fi space operas.
Andromeda on the other hand was incredibly light on important decisions to make. Often boiling down to choosing who to save and who to sacrifice, the choices felt unimportant in the grand scheme of things and rarely resulted in any lasting consequences that affected the rest of the title.
Compare this to something like The Witcher 3 which constantly brought your decisions back to haunt you in fascinating ways, and the concept of decision making in Andromeda seemed as though it was only included because the developers felt obliged to add it in.
With Mass Effect 5 your decisions need to matter, otherwise the series might as well stop pretending to be an RPG entirely
