5. Where Are The Aliens?

Look real close during the combat-heavy moment in the trailer and you'll see... almost nothing. The alien races you're up against have been deliberately obscured in this trailer; something that works for and against this main reveal. Last year we got to see what looked like a Krogan roaring away on a deserted planet - something that tied into the leak mentioning you started with a companion of the same species, Drack, but with the E3 reel there was nothing of the sort. It goes without saying that the colour and fun of the world itself resides in the enigmatic and animated cast of aliens you encounter on your travels. Hell, remember the first time you saw Wrex in motion? It was jaw-dropping. Even having a conversation with the big guy was a really immersive and memorable moment that advanced video game narratives and world-building in exponential ways. Here, aside from a Krogan you can spy in the background, no other races - new or otherwise - make an appearance. Which begs another question...
