Mass Effect Andromeda: 9 Burning Questions It Must Answer
4. Does A Lack Of Gameplay Footage Mean We Should Be Worried?
Think about it: Mass Effect Andromeda was first shown way back in 2014, albeit as more of a technical showcase full of promise and zero gameplay. 2015 came and went as all Bioware showed amounted to one character walking towards a screen, and a new Asari (Cora)'s face.
It wasn't until PlayStation Meeting where we finally saw something lengthier, and even that was meant to be more of a showcase for PS4 Pro's pointless 4K tech, rather than a full mission. It's gotten so bad that Gamespot's Rob Crossley had to ask Bioware's Aaron Flynn as to why we weren't seeing more of the game.
He responded in regards to the game's February release date, saying he was "pretty confident" the team will deliver, alongside noting "[Bioware] could absolutely go into all that detail now" and that despite not showing much, "[He had] no concerns".
Don't forget, ME: A was original slated to drop at the close of 2016, only to be pushed back into 2017, settling vaguely on a Febuary date for now. That's just over five months from now after over two years of scuttlebutt and whirring rumour-mills.
You have to ask yourself: If everything was coming together as intended, shouldn't fans be seeing more of the game than we have so far?
