Suvi should've been loveable, and to certain sects of the Mass Effect fandom, she probably is, but there was something about how Bioware recorded her lines that just sounded incredibly 'off'. Like how Scotty's Scottish accent in Star Trek is that little bit too fake.

Granted, actress Katy Townsend is from Glasgow, Scotland, but whether it's the high fidelity microphones Bioware used or the weirdly stilted attempts at philosophical conversation Suvi completely randomly brings up, she comes across as being written to be the 'cute pilot with the awesome accent', rather than having a reputation accrue naturally over time.
