Mass Effect: Ranking Every Main Squad Member In The Original Trilogy

One of two characters that is a squad mate in all three games. The young and enthusiastic Quarian engineer slowly gains confidence over the trilogy. Being a Quarian means she has to stay inside her augmented suit or else she risks getting sick and maybe even dying.

Tali is always upbeat and positive and is especially awkward in social situations. This makes her a particularly endearing presence on the Normandy as she is clearly out of her depth. As the games go on, Tali becomes more involved in the politics of her people and situations surrounding their creations, the Geth. Tali becomes a leader and this is reflected in her name as she goes from ship to ship (nar Rayya to vas Neema to vas Normandy).

Tali as a romance option is also well executed, as the relationship feels more tender and innocent reflecting Tali's personality. Her choice to reveal her face to Shepard feels gratifying in particular.

Tali is on the Normandy for three games, and this allows for hours of extra development that other characters simply aren't capable of having. She feels especially kind and a good person which not all of the characters on this list can boast. If you've ever got her drunk, you know she's also adorably hilarious.
