Metal Gear Online: 10 Crucial Tips & Tricks You Need To Know

3. Spend Money On Attachments, NOT Clothing

It might be tempting to splash out on a fetching new scarf, badass helmet or Big Boss-style eyepatch - but refrain, as thanks to the sky-high cost of almost everything, you're better stockpiling your GP coins (Gear Points, accrued after every match, win or lose) and instead grabbing attachments such as better scopes or flashlights. The scopes go hand in hand with levelling perks to ensure you then keep them balanced when aiming, and flashlights can be used to throw off any enemy aiming directly at you. Most of the time in the single-player you'll have come to rely on Reflex Mode to outweigh the usefulness of flashlights when it comes to getting the drop on an opponent, but in multiplayer that doesn't exist, meaning they're far more integral to ensuring you survive a close-quarters skirmish.
