14. Alcohol Has No Effect On People With Nanomachines (MGS4)
In MGS4, it's revealed that because of the widespread implementation of nanomachines in the 21st century, alcohol is broken down before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. This allows soldiers to stay sharp on the battlefield, and prevents them from having any fun whatsoever.
13. Heritage Of The Snakes
There are three Snakes in total: Liquid, Solid, and Solidus. None of them were born by natural means, but rather they were all clones of the legendary soldier, Big Boss. However, they are each different; Liquid and Solid were birthed by a surrogate implanted with the genes of Big Boss, and Solidus was cloned directly from Big Boss himself. Weird, huh?

If you're in the middle of infiltrating a nuclear facility to stop a group of insane terrorists, chances are you don't really want to worry about keeping a lighter for your cigarettes. Interestingly, Snake smokes a type of cigarette that actually lights itself when bent, alleviating any need for a lighter. While the actual brand is fictional, the technology is real.
