Metal Gear Solid V: 7 Big Questions We Can't Wait To See Answered
5. Do Raiden Or Solidus Make An Appearance?
Remember Raiden? First the single-most hated figure in gaming history, then a "Ohh I see what was going on"-realisation as it sank in his ineptitude and feminine portrayal was to sharply contrast Solid Snake - and finally a "F-YEAH!" loveably badass cyborg ninja in MGS 4. A Raiden-type figure was even in Snake Eater in the form of Colonel Volgin's abused lover (named 'Raidenovitch') but for MGS V the original 'Jack the Ripper' himself will be around four years old as Boss comes out of his coma. Obviously a four year-old isn't going to be stepping into anyone's shoes on the battlefield (although this is Metal Gear, so who knows), but everything about his upbringing was extremely traumatic, and considering the globetrotting nature of the story and the fact Raiden fought in his own country's Civil War at age nine, I wouldn't be surprised if he's shown playing with a firearm or interacting with a young George 'Solidus' Sears at some point.
