2. You Can Get The Space Jump WAY Sooner
Even though performing tricks and glitches in any game is fun, they usually require more skill than the average player can muster. You can try to skip a section a hundred times in a row and only be met with failure. Because of this, a lot of players don't attempt these techniques, even if they know how they work in principle.
However, obtaining the Space Jump early in Metroid Dread is surprisingly easy. There are a few key elements to retrieving this upgrade but none of them are particularly tricky. As soon as you arrive in Ferenia, enter the first room and hug the first wall you see. While aiming down, charge your arm cannon and shoot the combustible blemish below.
Normally, you shouldn't be able to burst the blemish until you've obtained the Wave Beam, which you won't have at this point. But if you angle your blast properly, you will cause the blemish to burst, even if you're only equipped with the Diffusion Beam.
Once it bursts open, you can drop down and navigate around and nab the Space Jump.
