Microsoft X018: 12 Things We Learned
12. These 16 Games Are Joining Xbox Game Pass
Say what you want about the presentation style of Microsoft's show, but they sure proved they mean business with their Xbox Game Pass service, announcing 16 new titles to join the line-up, most of which will be available within the next month or two.
In release order, episodic adventure game Thief of Thieves is available now; PUBG releases on November 14; Agents of Mayhem, MXGP 3 and Thomas Was Alone land in November; Ori and the Blind Forest on December 20; Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden and Kingdom: Two Crowns in December; Aftercharge in January; Void Bastards in early 2019; and Supermarket Shriek, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Pathologic 2; Secret Neighbor and The Good Life on their unspecified launch dates.
If Game Pass' biggest weakness to date has been its lacklustre indie line-up, this makes it clear that Microsoft is redoubling its efforts to make the subscription service jam-packed with value beyond the AAA first-party titles.
Given the surprising recent news that PlayStation Now is far more popular than anyone expected, it makes sense that Microsoft is looking to up their game moving forward.
