Mortal Kombat 1: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

10. Reptile

Because of Reptile's unique shapeshifting abilities, his people labelled him a freak, and had him promptly banished. Forced to do Shang Tsung's dirty work, the Zaterran warrior hopes to prove he is not the monster that others believe him to be.

Not only does Reptile's revised backstory get top-marks, he also has a new fighting pattern. Although his Specials are unchanged (Acid Spit, Invisibility, Force Ball), his moves are a different story. Reptile can revert to his lizard persona and back in mid-attack, creating some visually impressive kombos.

In his true form, Reptile is much bigger, giving him more range (especially when he whips his tail or tongue). Although his kombos aren't long, they shouldn't be underestimated, since each strike takes off a sizeable chunk of health.

With such an original fighting style, it feels like his move-set could've been diversified further. Nevertheless, Reptile is still worth checking out, thanks to his balanced range of kombos and Specials.
