Mortal Kombat: 10 Terrible Characters NetherRealm Want You To Forget
4. Meat
Meat serves just one purpose: to remind people what happens when a joke is taken too far. Before he was completely fleshed-out (sorry) as a proper character with his own ludicrous backstory, Meat was purely a fun little easter egg hidden deep in the bowels of Mortal Kombat 4's code. If you were able to defeat every single character in the game's 'Group Mode', a special character skin that stripped your character of all its skin, i.e. Meat - became available as an alternate costume. Fine, quirks like that are always fun to discover - nobody is questioning that. What is questionable though, is then taking that same idea and moulding it into an actual character. Yes, 'Meat', as fate would have it, is actually the result of human experiments conducted by Shang Tsung. Mr. Skinless eventually escaped his prison, stuck a diaper on and took up fighting with a style one could only describe as self-mutilation. Excuse me while I go and weep for the death of imagination.
