Mortal Kombat: 10 Terrible Characters NetherRealm Want You To Forget

5. Chameleon

Yeah, this is exactly what MK needed - more ninja characters. Don't worry about the fact that Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Smoke, Rain, Ermac and Noob Saibot already had that base well-covered by the time Chameleon came strolling in - you can never have enough ninjas. Unlike the seven stealth assassins that precede him though, Chameleon doesn't even have his own move-set. That's right, the character - true to his name - is literally just a con-artist - an entity that plays dress-up and mimics the attributes and abilities of whomever he chooses. It's not so much that Chameleon is a terrible character to use (after all, he copies some of the best characters in the series), but more that Midway had become so lazy by this point that they didn't even bother to try and hide their total lack of imagination. Copycat characters are never worth remembering. All they do is dilute the uniqueness of existing characters and throw any semblance of balance straight out the nearest window. Do everyone a favour and never come back Chameleon. Cheers.
