With a pretty weird first fatality, it's a relief that Cetrion gets something that feels like it belongs in Mortal Kombat.

In this fatality, the Elder God uses the different elements to eviscerate the other fighter, ending with them getting slashed by a huge pair of claws.

Ed Boon even joked that the pair of claws was the return of Freddy Kreuger, which would honestly make it even more awesome.

Maintaining balance is what you would get if you combined The Last Airbender with one of the Saw movies, and that's pretty great.
