7. Kenshi
Kenshi is one of the older characters who's child has shown up before they have, although the younger Takeshi Takeda is yet to be seen in-action outside of some cutscenes in the newest trailer, if he has any of his father's knack for severing limbs or driving faces eyeball-first into the concrete then we'll be onto a winner. There's just something so effortlessly cool about a blind samurai warrior deflecting blows and dealing gory justice whilst barely acknowledging his surroundings, and out of all the characters that have emerged over the years, Kenshi feels like the best fit to sit alongside the legends of old. It might be a strange tact to include Kenshi alongside his son if their movesets aren't varied enough - but considering the Blind sword-slinger himself has only been in four instalments so far, it'd be a shame if he didn't make an appearance on next-gen.
