While the recent MJ and LeBron legacy-style game modes were a fun little distraction for a while, they came at the expense of a more fully-fleshed classic mode. Players want to be given the chance to dip into the most iconic moments of NBA history, either staying true to real-life events or taking control of the opposing team and changing the course of history. A few potential scenarios include correcting Jerry West's valiant losing effort in the 1969 finals, replicating the great Celtics team of 1986, taking part in the Knicks/Pacers war of 1995, and steering the Sacramento Kings past the Lakers in 2002.
