The Pistons are another team that'll need to wait this season out. They might still make the playoffs, but their run is going to be rather short and uneventful. That's why it makes more sense to create cap space and hope for the best in the summer.
Lin and Booker are older than Jackson and Leuer, but their contracts are shorter and after one season you can decide if they'll help your team in the long run. Jackson and Leuer would keep your hands tied for three seasons, while acquiring these two gives you a lot of cap space.
