NBA 2K18 My GM Tips: 30 Franchise-Saving Trades You Must Make
11. New Orleans Pelicans
Players out (position, rating, contract length/value, age):
E'Twaun Moore SG 74 3 yrs/$25.9M 28, Cheick Diallo C 70 1 yr/$1.31M 21
Players in:
Tony Snell SF 75 3 yrs/$31.8M 25, Sterling Brown SG 68 2 yrs/$2.19M 22
Why it makes sense:
In today's NBA a team needs shooters to succeed and the Pelicans are very short on those. The bench players are OK in that department, but the starting five could use at least one. The team doesn't also have a decent starting small forward, which makes once again Tony Snell the right man for the job.
Since there are a lot of bad contracts here, the next step is to get rid of these deals and maybe rebuild. This season the team should do well, maybe even make the playoffs, and with Snell they have a better chance of doing so, but you also need to keep your eyes on the future.
