NBA 2K18 Vs. NBA Live 18 - Which Game Is Better?

NBA 2K18 is a true basketball simulator, which takes into account so many factors to make the game as close to real as possible. In many respects it's hard to believe that such a game actually exists, and this applies to modes and gameplay as well.
The EA Sports game is more arcadey, which can at times be a positive, since thanks to that it's actually more accessible and allows for immediate enjoyment, while 2K requires at least some mastering. In spurts, NBA Live really looks authentic, but only in spurts, as the game is simply too OTT 'athletic' and floaty to resemble real-life basketball.
Basketball is a team sport, and NBA Live is more concerned with individualism. This might be a plus when you're supposed to play as one player on the court, but from a team perspective NBA 2K18 is a lot better. The creators simply understand how basketball works, making team-play the most important aspect of the gameplay.
In NBA 2K18 there's no place for hero-ball, which is the main feature of NBA Live 18.
