NBA 2K19 MyGM: 30 Franchise-Saving Trades You Must Make
25. Cleveland Cavaliers
Players Out (position, rating, contract value/length, age):
Tristan Thompson (C, 75, $36.01m/2, 27), George Hill (PG, 76, $37m/2, 32), Jordan Clarkson (PG, 76, $25.94m/2, 26)
Players In (Oklahoma City Thunder):
Dennis Schroder (PG, 81, $46.5m/3, 25), Stephen Adams (C, 84, $77.53m/3, 25)
Why:
Tanking is a possibility for the LeBron-less Cavaliers, but you'll have to shift a boatload of problematic multi-year contracts to do that. Trading a few of these for solid, functional players for a credible campaign is significantly easier, and the Thunder, for whatever reason, will happily consent to this lopsided trade.
A "big three" of Schroder, Adams, and Kevin Love shouldn't challenge for honours, but it'll keep the Cavs credible.
