Their time as the Seattle SuperSonics isn't what we're focusing on here as the Oklahoma City Thunder has plenty to writer home about, seeing as they've boasted quite the roster over the years. From James Harden to Kevin Durant to Russell Westbrook, the star power was definitely there for the Thunder to succeed, and succeed they did.
Since becoming an Oklahoma team for the 2008/09 season, the squad have only been left out of two of a potential twelve. That's impressive, regardless of your opinion on the team as a whole. Not only that, but they've also made it to the conference finals on four of those occasions, one of which they one before losing the overall NBA finals to the Miami Heat.
The additions of Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to the roster have already made out to be phenomenal moves on the part of general manager Sam Presti, even if they did lose Westbrook to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Paul. Furthermore, for the first time since 2016, Chris made the 2020 All-Star game as a reserve for Team LeBron.
It goes without saying that the Oklahoma City Thunder are in good hands for the time being. Here's hoping they keep it up to move up the NBA 2K22 ranking.
