A considerable step up for the Washington Wizards this year, seeing as they were placed bottom of the rankings in NBA 2K20, but they remain in the bottom third nonetheless. No real surprises there, either.
Going through more name changes over the years than the Chicago Bulls have with their coaching and managing team, the team once based out of Chicago (funnily enough) have had mixed success since their inception in the '60s. This last decade alone, they've gone from finishing fourteenth to advancing to the conference semifinals, back down to finishing eleventh.
The 2018/19 season saw the Wizards miss the playoffs for the first time in three years due to a couple of their star players going down with injuries. More recently, Tommy Sheppard has replaced Ernie Grunfield as the general manager, while Japanese player Rui Hachimura was selected to join the squad in the 2019 draft. The recipient of the 2019 Julius Erving Award, Hachimura has been a bit of a mixed bag in terms of bringing success to the team.
The Washington Wizards have certainly got the potential required to further increase their rating, so long as they don't go through any more mass injury phases.
