Nintendo NX: 10 Essential Video Games That Must Be Launch Titles

Splatoon is without question one of the Wii U's best games, releasing to strong acclaim and impressive sales. Nintendo have a bold, ludicrously entertaining new franchise on their hands, and they'll hopefully take full advantage of that with Splatoon 2 on the NX.

The major thing working against Splatoon 2 landing as an NX launch title is that the first game only came out last May, so releasing another less than two years later could make it feel like a rehash, or there simply may not be enough dev time to actually get it made.

Still, if Nintendo EAD can pull it off, they'll have a bonafide console-seller on their hands, given how absurdly addictive the original is. If it incorporates whatever the NX's "gimmick" is in an imaginative way and rustles up a bunch of new gameplay modes, then this could be a truly terrific follow-up.
