6. Initial OS Conversations With Android

One of the big talking points surrounding the NX has been rumours that it could even run on an Android operating system in order to create a 'friendlier, familiar development environment for game creators', according to the Japanese media outlet who reported the link.

Nintendo quickly responded to the rumours by denying there's an agreement with Android, and while it does seem like a reach at this point, it's not entirely out of the realms of possibility. A conversation may have been held between the two companies, but that may be as far as things went. One thing that is for certain, Nintendo are looking for a more 'western-friendly' console, and one of the first steps has been to bring in an American hardware architect to help create the next console. They want a widely consumable product for both developers and fans alike. Android links certainly aren't unfeasible.
