Nintendo Switch: 10 Third-Party Franchises We Need To See
5. Final Fantasy
While the 3DS is positively overflowing with remastered versions of early Final Fantasy games, as well as tangential and tactical installments, Nintendo systems have long been without mainline Final Fantasies and their consoles haven't seen much of the franchise in ages. Which has always struck me as somewhat strange considering the Super Nintendo played a major part in the franchise's success, though the PlayStation did stage its true breakout.
Anyway, it would be nice to play new Final Fantasy games on the Switch. We know more games are on the way, after all, seeing as how the days still end with "y". Final Fantasy 15 was fairly successful as well, so we may yet see more open-world and action-driven entries. And if Xenoblade Chronicles X can work so splendidly on the Wii U, I don't see why a game like FF15 can't work on the Switch.
If it's good enough for FF15 director Hajime Tabata, it's good enough for me.
